I keep an eye out for an elderly neighbour, this morning her light downstairs did not work. Checked the fuse box and its a Wylex box with the fuses having fuse wire at different values the lights are on a 5 amp fuse. I can get some fuse wire and sort it out but is there a better way of doing this. Do I need to get her to agree to get a new fuse box which she is likely to baulk at as she is 93 and to be frank she is very frail and has just had a minor stroke.
What would the wam advice be.

I am selling my Sennheiser HD25-SP II headphones. I bought them from Richer Sounds a few weeks ago (still have the receipt). They've only seen a couple of hours use and sound great. I just didn't realise that they're not really sensitive enough to run from an iPod or iPhone. The cable is very long too. So these are more suited to home use or DJ'ing.

So a £100 pair of one month old, as new, headphones in original box etc with receipt.

Will sell for £70 inc UK postage.
NO offers please.
Payment via Paypal Gift or Bank Transfer please.

New Model Army hail from Bradford, Yorkshire and are named after the English Civil War army led by Oliver Cromwell. It is now nearly 30 years since their first album was released. In that time they have been one of the most consistent bands around, developing a strong and devoted fan base. Their music has been described as "folk rock", but they defy any genre definition, and the lyrics are a very important element. They are known for having left wing tendencies but, like another well known lefty, Billy Bragg, their best moments are when they move away from directly political subjects and concentrate on more personal messages.

Released in 1989 this was the fourth New Model Army album and imo their best. Justin Sullivans writing has always been excellent but the band as a whole found a new maturity here and the whole album feels very polished. 225, Green and Grey and Family Life are the standout tracks for me.

The original album contained 10 songs (the cassette version added an extra track '125mph') and I suggest you judge the album on those 10 (or 11 tracks) as the extra 4 tracks on the end of the re-released version that are on Spotify/Grooveshark rather dilute the impact.

Hi,

Does anyone have any short lengths of Electrofluidics monolith or Townshend isolda speaker cable? The speakers are quite close together so I only need 1m lengths or so.

What would be perfect is a pair like the short 1m lengths used for Living Voice OBX crossover boxes. What is frustating is that I sold my 1m set a couple of years back when I sold my living Voice speakers. I am currently using 3m lengths of Townshend Isolda and there is cable everywhere!

Thanks,
Graham.

I do not have a tester of my own to verify these readings - having run these in over 50 hours or so and the sound has opened up dramatically supporting the view that these were true NOS valves when I purchased them as stated.

The sound on these is huge and massively detailed with the best top to bottom extension I have heard from a pair of 6922s in my preamp. Unfortunately, it a little too much of a good thing for my taste and system with an upstream Siemens CCA in my DAC and explicit MA speakers lending just too much detail, so I am now looking to move these on at substantially less than I paid.

Looking for £120 incl postage. Based in Herts and collection welcome.
