Reports have come through that US artist Anthony Moore, AKA Romanthony, has died, with the cause yet to be determined.

Although no official statement has been released, posts on social media from artists close to Moore, including Boys Noize and Eve Angel, have confirmed the news. "it is so sad," Boyz Noize tweeted late last night. "Romanthony and me were working on such an amzing song together. he said it was the best song he had ever written."

"Our Music Industry has lost yet another pioneer and music legend," Daone Remmidy (Eve Angel) posted on Moore's personal Facebook page. "I am deeply saddened to Announce the Passing our my Label Owner, Producer, Manager, and Family. Our Beloved World Renowned DJ and Producer Romanthony has passed away. What a great run we had Roman gave me my first break into the Music Industry and introduced me to the world, as Eve Angel. We were working on an amazing project. I will miss him and he will forever remain in my heart. We had a 20 year stint together and he will never be forgotten."

The cause of Moore's death is yet to be determined. Both his Wikipedia and Discogs pages have listed the date of his death as May 7th.

Moore was well-known for his work alongside Daft Punk, for whom he recorded vocals on the tracks "One More Time" and "Too Long," and a long line of singles and albums. He began releasing music in the early '90s, and went on to record such classics as "The Wanderer" and "Let Me Show You Love." Artist: Romanthony

Fang island, major: first was far more instant
mgmt, same with that, but I think both 2nd albums are better now
fleetwood mac - tusk. After rumours heavy listening I thought wtf is this, but now know its 100 times better
all of the smiths, just special
morrissey, viva hate - great great great
new order - power corruption and lies. Ace

i can't think of any more :minikev:

i think if you listen to anything enough times you'll eventually like it :?

I prostrate myself before the combined knowledge of the Wam.
I have just aquired a Gold Plated single of Help by the Beatles. The label matches the Parlophone database for the period...

The B-Side is "I'm Down", so it seems authentic.

The disc has been sprayed gold on one side. It is framed but not professionally. There is no other ID or information. Were these released by collectables companies like Franklin Mint or Bradford Exchange ?

I am more curious than anything as to any value (real or perceived) that it may have. I think the fact that somebody has "sprayed" it gold probably negates any collector's value. Unless THAT is it's USP.

Your input will be gratefully received.

Born Stevland Hardaway Judkins, he has been blind since birth. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, he moved to Detroit when he was four. It was here where he learned to play various instruments such the drums, piano and harmonica. He also developed his singing ability at a young age.

Ronnie White of the Miracles, was told about Stevie. When he went see him, he was that impressed that he took him to Motown and Berry Gordy. He was given the name Stevie Wonder and the rest is history.

Well time does come round quickly and I have been pondering which album to pop up for your consideration. I was scrtahcing my head as to genre/label/artist/era etc...when i thought about come back albums.

Always a tricky one the come back album, usually more losers than winners. The obvious classic comebacks such as Californication, Portishead, Back In Black, Pump, American Recordings and the should of stayed in bed efforts such as Cosmos Rocks, It's Hard and the Spaghetti Incident.

This one I bought just because I liked the guys previous albums with the Midnight Runners and I wanted to see what they could do after a 27 year break which had been interspersed with a couple of lame efforts from Rowland himself.

In my view, he needs Dexys as much as he seems to dislike them at times, I love it, it tells a good story.
