yes I know its a bugger getting old, but then for some poor eyesight is a lifelong thing so I cannot complain. But I must now admit that like John ( rockmeister ) auto focus is a must as I seem to get mixed results with manul focus lenses. I bought the Fuji X-E1 and an adaptor to contax/yasika lenses so I could use all my old lenses. I have since bought a fujinon 60mm macro lens and get sharper pics in auto focus. I tried three different shots today of the same subject, auto focus with auto exposure, good, auto focus with manual aperture selected, better, and manual focus ,poor.

B. Anyone bought anything on their 12 months Interest Free Finance?

They are relatively local to me, and the 12 months interest free finance seems too good to be true, or far too tempting to get something and spread the cost!

The Sigma SD1 is well within reach, or a 6D or an X-Pro 1..... :nerves:

The time in the Peaks recently has really re-ignited my creativity and want to get out and about!

I knew I had a semi fish eye lens but could not locate it. I have now found it and want to use it on the front of either my 50mm or 28mm contax lenses. 28mm contax has 49mm female thread and 50mm has a 52mm female thread, semi fish eye has a male 54mm thread and also 48mm female thread. I have trawled ebay without finding anything suitable. I have used it by holding it in front of a bridge camera lens to good effect but want it fixed for convenience and the simple fact I only have two hands and need to manually focus the main lens unlike the bridge camera with auto focus.

Hopefully the link works. It's a Sony SLT-A77 with 16-50 f/2.8 lens for under £700. The camera was on my short list when I was recently looking for a DSLR and it was £1-1.3k and I mention it because of the steep price drop on the Sony Outlet. Worth a look. The lens is actually pretty good.

The price on Amazon for the lens is almost £500.

so Adobe. You want me to lock in to a 24 month agreement to pay you £550 a year for photoshop, which I wont own, because all the tolls are in your 'cloud'.
GREAT idea Adobe.
I get access to all your products simply by being on the internet....oh wait though
so
no access to my photoshop if I have to go offline then? ah.
So No actual product for me to keep if I decide I don't need to upgrade?
Aha.
And what? You think £1100 is reasonable for a contract, and about the same as the £175 I paid as an educator for CS4 in 2009....let me just check that.. 175 divided by 6 = 30ish.
My maths must be wrong huh? £30 a year not £550?

MASSIVE cockpunch to Adobe and also, bye bye .

Hi Guy's,

Need to put a photographic collage together, and maybe some layering etc, and was looking for your recommendation on which one's to look for - either free or purchase.

I've had a quick look at some on the web (Fotoflexer.com; Picmonkey.com and Picnik.com - all free download?) which appear easy enough to use but know nothing about them and if they are really any good.

What would you recommend.

Regards

I'm trying one of the above. Excellent; sharp as a razor. More saturated than my two Nikkor lenses (35-70 f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.8g). I don't seem to be having any AF issues. The build quality is not as good as the 35-70 but miles better than the 50mm. Focussing seems pretty quick. My sharpest lens though I think Zeiss is a touch more dimensional.
