Nice one JB, you know you always wanted a tecnoarm! Get some Origami super slippery in that hub, and you can enjoy hours of worrying whether you've tuned the bounce properly.

Blimey, If I was in the market for a 3k turntable I would be falling over myself to bag that Brinkmann - I'd even swap my 1210 for one of those puppies.

    No, really.
Really?? Well there is some sort of logic to that I suppose. Still, tis a shame that it really DOES look like it was fashioned out of a gash picture frame

Looking at your kit listed, you appear to have a clearaudio champion Click Here Is this an upgrade, if so how much so,?as I would not have thought it would have been so discernible. Looks smashing by the way.

I will need to listen a little longer before comparing the sound of the Gyro to the Champion, my reasons for changing was mainly on a practical level. I did not like the Hadcock unipivot, it sounded very good, but I found it very fiddly(I am a bricklayer and my fingers don't do fiddly) and it always felt "vulnerable" to me. As for the Champion, the perspex shows every fingermark and it came with a Michell Unicover, which is not very effective at protecting from dust. Incidentally, my Champion(sadly) was not the one shown in your link, but the basic. JB.

I like the quote"(I am a bricklayer and my fingers don't do fiddly)". The clearaudio looks nice though. However the Michell looks the dogs bollocks.

Nice one JB, now go out and get the amrboard fix (bargain at £21 from Michell) and find out how good your deck really is.

So how many Michells have you had in the last 12 months ?

What are you doing with that Hadcock arm ?

Hope this is going to make you happy, it's a quality combo.

Haha, only 3 Michells. I traded in the Clearaudio/Hadcock for the Gyro, got quite a bit more than I paid for it too JB.
