what a beautiful world this will be,
what a glorious time to be free.
I'll be earning about £220 ppw if I get the job I've applied for
not the greatest salary - but better than nothing.

well I saved quite a lot over the summer holidays this year and the year before, plus I've got no bills to pay at the moment.
plus my whole system only costs about £2500 - not that much in the cosmic scale of things
me and the wife earn the same ,30 grand a year each .but taxes are high 33%, but there is no national insurance. and no council tax. so it aint too bad. and we have no loans or mortgage so life is bloody wonderful at the moment.
oh and we have nearly 100k in the bank from our house sale in the uk. which is in a web saver account in england which we get 4% gross on. so thats another 4k a year.
interest rates here are so low heremoney in the bank here is muppetry.
for some reason I can't see you as a Miser Solid - more a happy go lucky big spender on the whim of the moment

BTW, I thought spendthrift meant miserly.Haven't touched my calligraphy brush set in ages. I only took it up because I saw Ewan "OB1" MacGregor playing with nude body calligraphy in the film "The Pillow Book".:sw:
In Japan collectors pay big money for ink caricatures done by famous people (e.g. Zen monks)who may not actually be trained artists.
Hmm, now that I have seen Rudi's mug, I can try my hand at caricaturizing him. The resemblance ^^^
