This stuff looks ridiculously well made and high spec for the money. 600USD for a pair of 200watt monoblocs -delivered.
so as the question asks, has anyone any experience of this company's gear.

Without wanting to be a spoil sport

    - you'll have to pay VAT and import duty.
    - you may find something in terms and confitions that says free delivery doesn't actually mean free delivery.
    - If it does include delivery, you're looking at monoblocks whose components must have cost quite literally next to nothing. $50 max per mono. And (IMO) that just isn't enough to get anywhere near the level of performance OR reliability that this type of product requires.

You'd be much better off (albeit with a somewhat lighter wallet) with that KSA-100 Enbee has in classifieds - a genuinely no compromise design with an original price that made no excuses for itself.

Anyway, sorry, I haven't heard these amps so apologies if you weren't looking for that kind of input. Beer o'clock

The speakers carved from one block of marble look interesting. I would post a pic but it's beyond me. TNT give them a really good write up.

I was on the waiting list for these amps when they were first released about 5-6 years ago. I gave up in the end after waiting for months with lots of promises, there were supplier issues and what not, shame as they look superb and a genuine bargain. If I was looking for mono's now, I would be very tempted too.

I'm now on my second set of Norh speakers. I've upgraded from the 6.5 wooden drums to the marble 9.0s. I'm very impressed by them - scan speak revelator drivers, silver wiring and apparently good quality crossover parts in a cabinet devoid of resonances and shaped to reduce internal standing waves. They sound very open, image well giving a very realistic musical, detailed soundscape. They can sound a trifle forward in their presentation and can't compete with the best of floorstanders in portraying the sheer scale of orchestral music but i would pit them against anything costing twice the price and be sure they would not disappoint in the slightest.

Anyway I am now considering getting in touch with norh to buy a pair of le amps. The right hand channel of my alchemist forseti has blown and looks like it's inoperable . I've read some good things about them and my experiences with the company so far have been good. there are a couple of posts on other forums about there being a problem with noise/hum with some but seems to be fixable. Anyway i'm making do with my acoustic reality PA for now

    Here's why they're so cheap -

cheap cruddy parts (in this case nasty-arse ceramic resistors costing 0.001p each)

    will sound OK

but you get what you pay for

mind, prolly worth $300 for the box if you're handy with a soldering iron!

I think you're being a bit harsh here Earl,

no doubt that those are pretty basic ceramic resistors and equally no doubt that they can easily be improved upon BUT they are exactly what you'll find in most commercial amps at price points at and considerably above where these guys sit. Build quality / workmanship looksabove what I'd expect at the price point, Toshiba trannies too if I'm not mistaken.

They look to me likebloody goodvalue for money and at $300 a piece sod the warranty, buy a pair and replace the resistors! As you say the box would cost you that in UK!

You've looked inside MF boxes costing much more than these - what did you find??

I'm not disputing your point on component selection rather suggesting that it should be considered in the context of a 150GBP monobloc as indeed you point out, so I guess really I'm disputing the emphasis not the content i.e. I'd be inclined to say that these look remarkably good for their price.

Of course I haven't heard them - they could sound wonderful or they could sound crap!

    Cheers

    Dave

I have the preamp on order. A bit worried whether I will ever see it after Scoobs comments and the fact they state that they wont take the money until its ready to ship.

Look on the bright side Covenant, if they don't take the money until it's ready to ship at least if you never see it you'll never pay for it either!

    True,

in reality I think I'd be more bothered by the frustration of not having my new toy than by the remarkably modest sums of money involved! Might be different if it were kit at "High End" prices mind you!

    Cheers

The prices are OK if delivery is limited within Thailand or maybe to neibouring countries. I know quite a lot people who can make seriously good stuff for that sort of money, but not on manufacturing scale. I'm not saying their products will rival the Hi-End gears we have here but they give a close contest for a fraction of the price.
