Watched Contact last night. It's quite old (1997) but still worth watching.
Although it is shite for not focussing on 1st ever Budweiser FA Cup/2012 Europot Heineken Cup, I recommend:
'Sometimes via the senses, mostly in the mind' (or pocket)...
Norwegian "Blair Witch" style docu-drama in which teenagers discover a secret government troll hunter.
Full of sly humour - takes the piss nicely out of the genre!

I enjoyed Moneyball at the weekend. I suppose it might have helped if I'd understood baseball a little better but despite that, still worth seeing.
Watched tyrannosaur the other night . Well worth a watch , the woman in it is superb .
Try Roman Polanski's Carnage. 2 middle class NY couples get together to discuss reasonably the affect of one of their kids playground violence on the other couples kid. They start drinking and things disintegrate. Carnage ensues. It's also pleasantly short and zippy at less than 90mins.
Ralph Fiennes and Gerard Butler go toe to toe with plenty of flying Shakespearean spittle. Great stuff.
Lol. It says 'anus' in the title.
I bet the DVD will be bought and subsequently returned by disappointed dunderheads expecting a typical Gerard Butler action flick (a la Law Abiding Citizen or Gamer).
Eats, shoots and leaves...
Hilarious cross between 40 year old virgin, american pie and Ferris Buellers day off.
A virgin nerd is offered sex by an alleged lady on the internet. Problem is she's 9 hours away. So he "borrows" his violent older brother's 69 GTO and sets off on a road trip, meeting assorted cool Amish amongst others.
Dribbling with knob and fart gags and recommended for those who like that sort of thing!
some eye candy in that if i recall .
has anyone seen "faster " with dwayne the rock johnson ? i was expecting little when my boys asked me to watch it with them but its actually very good . simply enough revenge thriller but with some good little twists and another sterling "billy bob thornton " performance
We saw the second disc of Killer Instinct last night:
After having watched the first last weekend.
Based on a true story about a French gangster, labelled Public Enemy No1. French film, subtitled, very convincingly played by Vincent Cassel.
We will be looking out for more films with Vincent Cassel.
The Debt - Remake of an Israeli film of the same title. Three Mossad agents are haunted by memories of a 1965 mission to East Berlin to abduct an infamous Nazi war criminal.
90 miles an hour girl is the speed I drive
clean gloves hide dirty hands
Studio Ghibli make some of the best cartoons around. Proper traditional hand drawn animation with minimal use of CGI. The energy in some parts of Ponyo is breathtaking.
Eats, shoots and leaves...
Excellent Ealing comedy from 1954.
Follows a Scottish "puffer" boat captain as he attempts to take a rich American's belongings up the West Coast.
Gentle and lovely, bit like "Whisky Galore".
A Lonely Place To Die
Edge-of-the-seat British thriller about a group of climbers in Scotland who discover a little girl buried in an underground chamber. Very soon they find out she's a kidnap victim, and that the kidnappers are very keen to get her back...
It's beautifully shot in the Highlands, has the requisite low frequency test-yer-sub rumble to generate excitement, and unusually, mostly gets the climbing right - not like the laughable-ness of Cliffhanger, or the bizzarre top rope, then not top rope, of the Eiger Sanction. There's only 2 obvious mistakes; for one you have to know rock routes on the Buchaille, and for the other you have to know how to read an OS map.
