I like it.
The grid view is nice.
And I like being able to preview recommended tracks. Just ignore the fact that they're constantly trying to sell things to you!

Nah, it's still pants on a PC.Wants to take over your whole computer, arrogant fucker
.... Yes sir, I can boogie, boogie woogie, all night long ....
What does it take over?
I don't use Quicktime for video, so I simply uncheck the box to make it a default player when I'm installing.
Simple.
When I had a PC iTUNES was the least of its many problems.
Strat
It's a great compilation. Plenty of old 78s @ 96kbps, and some George Formby.
ha ha, well spotted coopee!
Not sure I like this idea:
"You've got your music library, you turn on Genius -- it sends information about your library to iTunes. We can learn about your musical tastes... but completely anonymously... but we're going to combine your info with other users, and as that happens Genius gets smarter and smarter"
I'll wait for the inevitable complaints on The Register about lack of privacy before I download it. However, Genius looks interesting; I was saying on the Sooloos thread that the interface is the important thing, and this looks novel.
September 2009 will surely see the convergence of the Nano and Touch lines...
PS, who's the Jamie cullum fan?
I've told sh-iTunes to feck off and never bother me with its pointless toss numpty updates ever again, hope it sticks...
Neg Rep for sale - £10 a shot.
I love a bit of Cullum. He took that Jeff Buckley track to a new level!

How do you navigate music on your laptop??

I just use MediaMonkey and windows explorer to find what I want
A flea in the ear is worth two in the bush
Sarchasm - the gulf between what is said and the person who doesn't get it.

How do you stream that over to the DAC? Or do you have a long cable across the living room from your MacBook Air?

I dare you to try an Airport Express and iTunes...
I could even offer to lend the Airport to you in the hope of conversion!
How would I control the airport express?
Neg Rep for sale - £10 a shot.
You would use iTunes, streaming wirelessly to the Airport Express, plugged into the back of the DAC.
It saves having the cable across the floor
In time you can add the iPod Touch as a remote and leave the laptop closed and out of sight.
The Touch is flash and the ladies love it, like a Milk Tray.
Hmm, I already have a cable for the 'leccy so not saving much ... and it won't play the 25% of my collection that's in FLAC ...the laptop is open for 'wamming... and I'd rather have herpes than a Touch... I'll give it a miss!![]()

Ok. I'll tell Steve Jobs.
