Just purchased a used LP12 and the switch felt a bit vague, no snap to it. However it worked last night. This evening, no red light and no power.
It's not the mains plug, I know enough to check that.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Having/having had several without this anomaly I will advise option of considering using good good-value Linn specialist.
I have not heard LP12s sound better than with functioning Valhalla even though I have bought external including Linn PSUs.
'Sometimes via the senses, mostly in the mind' (or pocket)...
My Lp12 failed a few weeks ago with aloss of drive. The red LED on the switch was out, so I removed the platter to check the belt (which was OK), then removed the belt to feel the drive pulley. This wastwitching periodically.
Turned out to be a failure of the Valhalla board. Contacted dealer, who fitted one of his stock of recon Valhallas. All OK.
See if the pulley is twitching. Either way, a call to aLinn dealer or repairer would be a good move.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the advice.
I will find a dealer.
