I was expecting this album to be very average, if not crap and I'm no fanboy - AC/DC are probably my favourite band and I thought their latest release was mediocre. Same with Queen, their latest was expected to be crap and boy was it! So, back to Chinese Democracy...I wouldn't say this is good just because I have a soft spot for the old G'n'R, I'm saying it's a bloody fantastic album because it really is. Easily my favourite release of the last umpteen years.
I don't like stuff that sucks.
Dreadful. Got bored half way through track one, gave up. Just as awful as all their other stuff.

Jeez MiB, your taste (?)is dreadful. This is one of the best albums I've heard in years and you slate it, yet happily listen to stuff I wouldn't touch with a bargepole.

Well, I've got as far as track six the second time around - and I'm really, really bored.
Hair Metal was a rubbish genre in the 80s, and the twenty years in between haven't improved it.
I hear that this took fifteen years to make and cost $13 million. Jeez, talk about wasting your time and money!
No, I can't take any more. Bye bye, Axl - let's make it twenty years to the next one, eh?

I bought this yesterday and I have to say it is the biggest load of shite I have heard in years. What amazes me most is that people like itso much. I am truely staggered by how awful this album is. The dynamic range might be there but it is still the worst production I have heard in a long time. 20 sounds all at once, none of which go with the other. It's like they just put it all together at random and it is not in the least bit musical. Absolute fucking bollocks!

However, the songs still shine through. Fantastic songs, fantastic vocals and fantastic musicianship. What is there to hate? You just don't like the style of music, pure& simple. As others would say on here 'you don't get it'.I bought this yesterday and I have to say it is the biggest load of shite I have heard in years. What amazes me most is that people like itso much. I gave it 3 plays but couldn't go on. It's been taken back to Tesco and swapped for something else now.
I liked most of their old stuff (appetite and illusion) but nothing on here is remotely close to that in quality.
For me nothing shone through. It was just a barrage of random G N R noises. I definately dont get it!

Been listening to it in the car this week. IMO, on a par with Illusion 1/2, which I like.
But, TBH, sucks if it's been 10 years in the making.
I, I follow, I follow you, deep sea baby...

Also, the limited box thingy of My Chemical Romance's Black Parade album (2 180g heavyweight records) is reduced to £14.99 - another punt?

* Being serious, the album is great. No it's not G'n'R - it's an Axl Rose solo album but it's brilliant IMO.
