went to see the superb angie palmeron friday night at out local (ish) venue. It only holds around 120, but it was full to the rafters. Its the 4th time we have managed to get to see her, normally it is just angie, plus guitar, and richard curran, with his fiddle and mandolin. This time is was the full band (will have to sort out who was who). Absolutley superb show, with a assortment of tracks from her last 3 albums these being Road, Tales of light and darkness, and meanwhile as night falls.
I have tried to place her music into a box a few times, and failed, the nearest I can get is folk rock, but may be its rockabilly or bluegrass. Whatever it is, it is a fantastic evening of live music, and well worth the usually low entrance charge to for couple of hours of superb live music.
