    Well.....
I haven't been on here for months. No reason.. been busy.
However, I turned up at Rikki's on Sunday, totally uninvited mostly to catch up with Sam while she was West of the Pennines, 'cos we've not had chance for decent chinwag for a while.

I'm very grateful to Rikki for not just telling me to 'P*** Off'

Apologies to all for my totally unneccessary, insensitive and churlish (though entirely correct ;) ) 'dissing' of 80's synthesizer music! An uncharacteristic outburst on my part.... Ahem.

It was nice to meet up with Rikki again as it's been years since we met at Ian Kay's. Good also to see Dean and the others, though the names didn't sink in. I'm a slow learner these days.

I loved the Berkeleys. Also have to say that I've heard Sam's 'breadboarded' and highly dangerous phono stage a couple of times and it sounds pretty damnned good to me... especially for a 'work in progress'.

    Thanks again to all

    Aww thanks chaps !

I'm really not sure about all this "top host" business though !! I like to think of myself as more of a venue, somewhere to gather together. Its the company that make the day really aint it !

I did have a good larf though ! and can only apologise that I didn't make enough Chilli ! I noticed a few people had measly portions as we tried desperately to make it go round ! Ah well, shit happens, I'll know for next time wont I !

Been on a charity shop rampage today and picked up several more LP's so will have to go through them tonite, and then off to see Fleetwood Mac tomorrow !! Can't wait !

Someone left a tin of deodorant in my bathroom, I'm not sure if someone is trying to tell me something ! I do tend to get sweaty pits when I'm under pressure or anxious, I guess I didn't hide it that well

Thanks again to everyone, coz at the end of the day, its you lot that make it a riot !

Sam, you did indeed forget your new shoes ! I'll hold onto them till we meet again !

    Over and out !

Hi Rikki that's mine Sorry,I thought I'd put it back in my bag when I got changed.Either stick it in the bin or save it for use as a flamethrower for the next bake-off.

    Cheers

That was a good read, cheers, it sounds like it was a major success and a lot of fun.

500 mile round trip? That's dedication for you and reminds me of when Kennyk came down from Scotland to one of the Earl's bake-offs.

    BTW Rikki

I forgot to tell you that the Fiddlers Ferry is my boss's local

I'd told him that I was going to be there Saturday night for a few beers with the bake-off gang so he's bound to ask how it went.

My boss wasn't there,he's on holiday.

If he had been there he'd be more likely to pass you a baseball bat

You saw the pics of Dean with a stick - I really can't see a stranger volunteering a baseball bat to him!

Thankyou for that. What a cracking album!

If you liked, for example 'Exit Planet Dust' by the Chemical Brothers, this is in a similar vein but with better sound quality.

    Well recommended

Your welcome. I don't think their other albums are quite as good.
