Thought that would have appealed to you Si, it being all bling 'an that....
seriously though, you wouldn't would you?
"what was the guy thinking? blue peter paint job".. Stevie Wonder more like..
[Luke:] I can't believe it. [Yoda:] That is why you fail.
Looks like the missus had a word, probably the only way she'd let him have it ;)
You could always send itback to Nottingham Analogue and have it resprayed to a more conservative colour. This company makes great turntables and if i was ever to travel down the vinyl route they'd be first on my list
First pressings son !
Blue Peter paint job? That's a pain-stakingly difficult to get right 'rustic look' job.
Why not try to get it for a bargain price?
(And thendo your own Blue Peter paint job with black.)
Too much is not enough.

That's what I was gonna say .. How hard would it be to get it re-sprayed? You could even sell it on for more..
The Blues ain\'t nothin\' but a woman on a weak man\'s mind

Some people just have no appreciation of art.

I don`t think you can, looking at the pics, he`s used some sort of textured paint. Needs a complete rubdown, and he`s also done the heavy platter and arm housing with it.That's what I was gonna say ..Â* How hard would it be to get it re-sprayed?Â* You could even sell it on for more..
Momentary lapse of reason, or plain insanity.

Oh my!
"It comes in antique gold finish (this was not done by nottingham analogue)." You don't say...
Surely you must realise that once you decide to paint your hi-fi in 'antique gold finish' bang goes any resale value.
Awaiting the return of Christmas cat in December 2013
Ok, i`ve just had a reply from the guy selling, as i asked what his reserve was.
"Sorrey, i cant tell you that".
Erm, well if ya can`t spell sorry right, and paint a classic piece of hifi a rancid golden brown with bits of sand stuck in it, then be my guest.... pay ebay insertion fees all day long mr Van Gogh.![]()

Rustic look!!! It should be smooth to touch, just looks rough and aged.
If I am wrong and it is a rough finish, then you should eitherbuy some matching flower pots from the 99p shop and go for the complete look, or cover roughness with something even more artistic, e.g. pink synthetic fur.
Too much is not enough.
if you want it ,go for it then strip it down and take to a car paint sprayer.
that's what i would do for the right kinda dough.
he probably wont get many bids so it could be a bargain.
do you think anything could be done though?

just had a look through hifi for sale, and he wants £1,150.
For a mint one in original condition, yeah, but not a bodged one m8.

PMSL there really are some strange people in this world! 'Rustic gold'![]()
one thing that might work.
the standard finish underneath might be enameled. so just by puting paint stripper on it might do the job. if he didn't rub the enamaling down the stripper would remove that lovely gold paintand leave behind the standard finish.
but for £1150 the pratt is living in cuckoo land and practising some kind of muppetry.
i wouldn`t take a chance randy if i spent 1,150 of the queens sheets m8. Sod that!

it wont sell for that gusset just be patient and wait or ofer him 300 quid and see what he says
