It is nothing difficult really!
The standard star trails technique but in this case I used a ND soft grad too so to level the difference between the star light and the car lights (put the NDG with the clear area on top)

I have attempted the car trails before, (not very successfully mind), but The star trails is something I might have an attempt at.. Good use of ND grad btw.. Originally Posted by chrisB

These two look a bit HDR but they are not. For the majority of it's time the statue has been drenched by water run through the elevated hand which has discoloured the bronze. The water is currently turned off whilst the Council considers a repair which would be very, very expensive.
