Just seen one on ebay , thinking about getting it.
Never heard one but judging the amount of people who love Pass Labs it can't be too bad, right ?
So anyone here heard one. if so what do you think?
is the ATC one on there better?

I had a Pass pre ,can't remember the designation two box job, I thought it was a little mechanical sounding, can you try before you buy?

we have Pass Amps in the studio (X150)
Impeccable build, the sound is clean, "fast" and gutsy... handles any program material with ease. TIght bass, superb transient response.. If I had to give one word to describe pass it would be... HUGEBALLS
and yes, 900 is about right.
I am thinking you will really enjoy it. and hell, it is Pass...they hold value well.
Our studio will use nothing but...

oh Jesus, Marc. in my hurry to post in a "pass" thread, I completely looked past the fact that you were referencing a preamp rather than an amp.
I have not heard the preamps, ever... only the amps(which have all been fantastic)

cheers anyway mate.
I've got it on hold , sending in my Modwright pre on sat and doing a trade for it.
New DAC on the way arriving tomorrow too so I'm going to go fully balanced within about a week
I hope it works well , it looks rather nice anyway. Shame about a lack of remote control on the preamp but the DAC will have that anyway just incase.
It's a busy month !

what do you mean what happened ?
It's being held for me for when he receives my preamp as a trade.
He should get it by Tuesday/Wednesday and then send me the X2 out.
By the way , the new DAC is fantastic !

ahh right , I'm not expecting it to sound much different to the Modwright to be honest, I just want the XLR inputs and outputs and to move away from the temptation to see what different valves sound like
