Wonder why he's selling, says he's gonna sell his records too.
bet its expensive - some serious kit in that list!
i think he may get more if he sells the lot seperately. Some nice kit there, `specially the phono stage.
Foo Foo Manchu.

A fortnight ago, I almost bid on a system comprising of anArcam cd73, A65+, and Monitor Audio S6's that I thought was going cheap on Ebay.
This week, the buyer made a healthy profit of over £150 by immediately putting them allup for auction separately. Doh!
A while ago, I won an auction for what was titled "Hi Fi"
It consisted of a Leak Stereo 30, Pioneer PL12D TT, Sony ST-88 Tuner, and a JVC Cassette deck. All working and in good condition.
It was collection only in my area, and all for the pricely sum of £5
I WAS LAFFIN
BORED FUCKING SHITLESS !!!

Oh yes indeedy
Leak - £40
Pioneer - £15
Sony - £48
JVC - £5
NICE !!
BORED FUCKING SHITLESS !!!
Its not the first time either,
I bought a pair of B&O speakers (model2600 or summat) and 2pairs of Mourdant short speakers, (1 were festival) other unknown, (had peerless drivers in though) all from the same seller as a lot..
Another bargain !!!
£8
got £40 for the B&O's
still got the other pairs !!
I'm always on the lookout !!!!!
BORED FUCKING SHITLESS !!!
Ah, it's just down the road from me ...!
Had lots of ebay bargains..
I bought some Audiolab monos a few years ago on a buy it now for £500 and then sold them 2 days later for £1k.
Some Shahinian Diapsons i bought for £1750 and renovated (replaced the woofer rubbers) and sold for £4500.
The very very best was buying:
DCS VERDI
DCS ELGAR
DCS DELIUS
DCS PURCELL
FULL SILTECH REFERENCE CABLING
GAMUT D200 power amp
ATC SCM20 speakers
for £6600...sold for £12000 two weeks later. safe to say it was pissed up the wall in grand style. All this before i started Strasbourg Audio company.
Nice setup. Those Impulse Horns are very nice indeed. He'd make a heck of a lot more if he sold it separately. Quite a lot of people would be very interested in the individual items but the number of folks who would be interested in the lot (and be willing to pay for it on an ebay auction)would be minimal.
Just to be picky though ... Ortofon's were made in Denmark last time I looked ;)
Sold separately these items would raise at least £4K if not more.
i'd love the TT myself.
The H2's are nice, sold my pair in Black Ash for £1100 couple of years ago.
Best deal I ever had,a pair of EAR 519 monos £1200 ex dem, used them for 12 years a couple of tube changes and sold them on for £1400.

My last one like that was an AR-XB1 turntable, NAD 140 reciever, Pioneer CT-F6161 cassette deck and AR-2ax speakers for £25 (speakers, receiver and deck in original boxes!) just down the road from where i worked.
To date, i have sold the turntable for £66, the receiver and cassette deck for £25 and I'm still wondering what to do with the speakers...........:Coool:
It doesn't matter if the glass is half full or half empty. Either way, there's room for more beer in it.
