Un-fucking-believable.
Australia aren't winning because they're winning the toss: they're winning because they're playing against tossers!
Where's the "hanging yourself" smiley, Solid?

You heard it here first folks, one more win and england will see the ashes in another sixteen years time.Hate to say it but the Aussies are going to cream England.Â* Having lived there and livingÂ*here now, cricket is on a much different level there :yoda:, even playing recreationally.Â* I would say that the series goes 3-1, bris-aus, adelaide-aus, perth-draw, mel-aus, sin city-aus (check that 4-0).Â*
Half asleep, I turned on the radio at about 4 a.m. I expected to hear that it was all very dull and go back to sleep. Oh dear!
Awaiting the return of Christmas cat in December 2013
Declared too early. The Aussies are good, but that should have been a draw, the collapse is not really defensible.
I have to say I though the declaration was a little early, thought they would have tried to get over 600. They still had wickets in hand so a few slogs wouldn't hurt.
But overall the England attack has been poor and too many batsman have been out too easily.
I'm not convinced that Flintoff should have been given the captaincy either. Nothing particularly wrong with it but I thought Strauss did a good job in the Summer and after coming off a successful test series I think he should have been able to continue - takes the pressure off Flintoff as well to concentrate on his playing after his injury.
Stupid thing is with a draw england can take it a a morale boosting victory in stopping the Aussies and showing they have some mettle - now all they have done is actually lost the Ashes at a whimper and made the Aussies even more confident after a game they shouldn't won.
HiFiWigWam wrote:True, but the have now havent they!;) What im trying to say is that even at the time i thought it was a bit early and 600+ would have been easy, the wicket was still good so why not go for a few more, particularly as it tends to deteriorate quite rapidly later on, a higher total might have forced them in to the follow on. Basically though our second innings was pitiful. Theres a real chance we will get spanked in the remaining tests now i fear.Declared too early! No mate, no team has ever lost from a declaration above 500 ish.
Smashme Miles, lightweight andy panderson and No harmison were the problem. Get that fucking half wit pig headed twat Fletcher out, and select MONTY again would be a start.
What a load of complete shite. We'll do well to only lose the series 5-0.
You have to feel for our boys. They showed in the first innings that they've got the required ability to succeed at this level. (Don't forget we scored more runs than Australia did). However,on the final day,the sheer mental pressureof facing what is still the best cricket team in the world was ultimately too much for them and they simply crumbled under that pressure. Poor lads.

It's not just about talent at the highest level in any sport, it's also about bottle and mental toughness. It's ok someone having a bad innings, someone being off-form and someone having a spot of bad luck but when the whole team crumbles like that there are just no excuses IMO.You have to feel for our boys. I don't like stuff that sucks.
I'm not making any excuses for the team - I'm simply telling the truth - when it came to the crunch, the lads crumbled under the sheer mental pressure of facing the verybest in the world.
Theplayers will be absolutely gutted about what happened - they're fully awarethat they've let the nation down as well as themselves.I'd be surprised if they recover in time for the next match.
Just seen the highlights and cant believe some of the dismissals, particularly Pietersons', and also the runout.
what the f...?!
Is it like flu then...whole of england sportspeople catch 'I'm crap and a tosser' this month??
As to who will be sportsperson of the year, I don't know how they have the nerve to run the competition. Joke of the year maybe.

Well I agree on the Snugby and Cricket front.
However, lets be fair to:
Ricky Hatton, 41 fights and 41 wins via 30 KO's.
Joe Calzaghe, did you see him dismantle Jeff Lacey? What a fight! one of the best ever.
Zara Phillips, posh totty and inventer of the horse, jumped over stuff so well they declared her to be the best in the world.
Nicole Cooke, won the womens Tour de France. In fact she led from beginning to end!!!An amazing acheivement, yet the media totaly ignored her.
Beth Tweddle flung herself round and round on un even bars with such poise, speed and grace the awarded her the world Championship Gold Tweddal.
Plenty to be proud of, just not in the sports covered by the mainstreem media.
humph
no I'm still grumpy
anyway, with only 4 chanels of terrestial shite to watch, and the radio, I miss most of whats happening.

WTF were they thinking leaving him out of the squad?
I missed it all Earl - wot's the story? Did we bugger the upside-down pie buggers?
