What music do you put on your kit to lose yourself?

Am sat here in my hifi room, just stuck my old Quad 405/34 and Epos 14s on the end of my Marantz CD10/Arcam Black Box 5 and am losing myself in one of my favourite Jon & Vangelis CDs. Doesn't matter what gear I fire up I never get tired of listening to their stuff plus:

    Roger Waters
    Enigma
    Marcus Miller
    Thomas Dolby's Flat Earth album

What stuff do you recommend as your fav listening tracks....Id like to know what you prefer....as I want to broaden my horizons....

    Cheers

    growla....

I like stuff that leaves me feeling vacant. These are some personal favs:

Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See

My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything

    Galaxie 500 - Today
If my life lasted only one day I'd still be drunk by noon.

Careful Richard, the spelling police will be along shortly to hang you up by your whatsits for not spelling LOSE correctly! Yes I know you did in the thread, but not in the title.

That reminds me, Nottingham city council have hung up posters telling people in car parks to " Lock It Or LOOSE it" ! You would hope that people in local government would know which word to use..........

Stuff to just wipe the mind clean with eh?

Leonard Cohen, Live at the O2.
    Pink Floyd, Meddle
    Any Santana instrumental track
Phil Manzanero and Eno, Evening Star
    Any old Van Morrison
    Vangellis, Spiral
    Anything by Steve Winwood

And as always, a million others. Depends on how bad the mood is at the start to be honest
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.

    Ditto on Van the Man,
    Floyd (earlier)
the last few Talk Talk albums (Spirit of Eden onwards)
    Arvo Part
Year of the Cat always chills me out
as does Aerial by the divine Ms Bush
and there's a very trippy early album by Matt Johnson (before he became The The) called Burning Blue Soul that is otherworldy, but it's a bit nightmarish too...
