Of course the best thing about Ryan Adams is that he actively promotes people recording and making public his gigs. So he's right up there with the Greatful Dead on the Internet Archive live music resource.
check it out there's days worth of gigs to cherry-pick from

On the one and only time I saw him in Brizzle a few years ago he ranked amongst the worst performers I've ever seen in 25years of gig going, some 500+ acts from bars to stadiums.
He was drunk and stoned and a total tosser. Sat at the piano and flicked through his songbook and half heartedly started songs, only to abandon them one by one as (his words) he wasn't in the mood. Argued with the crowd who were getting restless. He went off after about 45mins, moaning cos he wanted a cigarette. Not sure what was in the cigarette, but things were much better after the interval! He ditched the piano for an electric and peeled off some tunes effortlessly. Why he couldn't have done that for the first hour I've no idea.
I think he's cleaned himself up since then. Not sure I'd bother again. A shame as I do like his stuff and have all his solo stuff.
Would you come to me, if I was half drowning

Wow, didn't know he was married to Mandy Moore, I wondered what happened to her, she was hot back in the day.
