I run a nazishitewagen, mainly because it fits my political stance, as in politicians are shitewagens. This is rather than my being a Nazi. It stops, starts, turns corners and things, burns fuel and money. Do any other motorised vehicles do other things? Juggle pedestrians maybe, or eat passing cyclists, if so I may have to change my mode of transportation.

I drive an X reg 1.8(petrol)Toyota Avensis hatchback. It aint pretty but its comfy, reliable, does 40mpg combined and most importantly I can fit my entire hifi system in it for Scalford!!!

yus. I ran an avensis for 8 months i think it was (I don't want to remember it too closely) and if you don't LIKE driving, it's a fine car. At least the merc has some pull and punch to bring the occasional smile (although not that much, since some bastard in a new Hyundai 130 estate managed to stay with me from 40-90 uphill the other day.....WTFP of that!?)

I mean car not me ofc, although in fact, now I come to think about it, there does seem to be a connection between waist size, lack of exercise and car type.

Oh I should add, fitted 2 new Conti Premium contact 2's at the front. Last ones lasted 17,000. Not so good, but grip too well wet and dry to risk another brand.

Bloody hell! Front tyres going at 17k miles. My fwd VW still has life in the front tyres at 42k; the rears look hardly used. You should get that checked.

I thought it was crap too mibs. I am careful over psi and we drive fairly staedily. It is a big heavy car, but I was hoping for 25 +. Checked how? Balance is ok and wear is even so tracking looks ok.

I would get the geometry checked properly with one of those laser jobs. Checks toe-in and castor as well as alignment and tracking. Tell the guy you are getting excessive tyre wear.
