that i nearly stood on.
Nah, that was the Naim Doorstopi model :nerd:
Not looking for a fight-just seems a lot of money.
I suppose SME, Hadcock etcaren't cheap either though.
Nor am I Lee :lmao:
If you think the SN is expensive have you seen the prices of the new linn kit![]()
Hi PB
They will sell a lot no doubt. Good luck to them.
So when are you selling the TMS2
The TMS2 is staying, I want a proper TT!
I bet Chezi's put in his order already (000001)
Well I went to one of the Linn open days and no matter how good the new products tried the deck still sounded like a Linn!

shall i pop along?
If Linn are having an open day, maybe they could bring along their production accounts and purchase ledger files for us to inspect. Then we could see what portion of final selling prices that makes up.Of course the remainingpart of the difference - the bulk of it indeed -would of course be wholly justified because of all R&D they put in getting their products to sound as good as many others at a third of the price.

I have Linn accounts you too can download them from company house for £3 they no more than any other company making hi fi make as much as you might think
problems with kit over the last few years cut profits and yes they more than most companies invested in new equipment and R&D
I think the tv side of the company (linn sight) does not do that good and having sen the sets I am not supprised
I was being a smart arse, hinting that Linn offer poor v.f.m. in relation to what things cost to make. I was meaning the production accounts and purchase costs of components, not final accounts. My reference to R&D was me being sarcastic about how these companies often say oh yes well but all that r&d and of course our prices are justiufied. Well of course there are worse than Linn, but I doubt if Linn do have a reputation and couldn't be said to offer good v.f.m.
If I'm wrong then shut my face, Cloth-Ears.
