Hope your issue resolves itself before you have to sell you fabulous kit. If it were me buying it, I'd deffo give you first dibs if I ever put it up for sale again. Unfortunately, as far as hifi is concerned, I'm told I'm skint for the foreseeable by swmbo.

Graham is correct on the drive units in the Carfraes.
re the Carfraes, i bought this pair from a chap in Devon about 3 years ago who turned out to be a close neighbour of Jim Carfrae and this pair were one of the very first, if not the first, commercial pair that JC built. I contacted JC directly before buying them and he confirmed their provenance and was very hepful.
The speakers are about 10 years old which I guess means the DX4s are about nicely run-in! The bass units each contain a JC bespoke amp with variable crossover and volume controls.

Each speaker is about 145cm tall, 95cm deep and 38cm wide. They split into two for transportation - the horn assembly weighs about 40kg each and the powered bass units about 60kg each - you will need a large van to move these! Still for sale at £3750 for one of the best speakers, let alone horn designs, ever made.
