Interesting, sure, but, you haven't exactly given much detail about how it sounds!

I agree, though, for a along time I have suspected one of these implemented properly (with LC supply or shunt regulator) should scare the shit out of just about anything. It's finding the time to build that is difficult.

well i have been following with interest, and as pete says i would have liked to here your thoughts on how it sounds..

a pal has built most of the nelson pass amps, and have had the prolonged use of a well built s2 and s4 on my system.. unfortuantly a/b ing with my valve amps, they did not inspire me to change direction, but they where very good, and really good value compared to the investment i have in my amps,
for me I would be interested to hear how your amps sound but unfortunately your miles away.

There's an idea - take them to a bake off, or hold one!

Have a "low power triode amp" bake off, I'm sure you'll get lots of interest!

    - - - Updated - - -

BTW, I really like the Sony VFET amp and that's just a regular complex class-B amp. I can imagine that used as a "triode" gains stage it woudl be superb. On the todo list once I get another build O have to do done.

    My set-up much the same.
Dave Hewitt (RIP) said it was like listening to BIG headphones! at my place!

By the time you set the things 3+ feet off the wall, plus the seat being 2 feet off.....
So when you read comments about so+so "being in the room' (if it's a) she's in your lap.....(you wish?) (-:
