Alfie, your rant was of the positive kind, and very acceptable.

I haven't read any of the scalford threads, but who's moaning and why..?

We've got an EOS, but not an ethos.
Moans about the show? Only one really. The fucking bar ran out of real beer. Again.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.
Like you could tell the difference by 5pm on sat![]()

And to rub salt in they put a Timothy Taylor Landlord pump clip on but there was no Timmy Taylor.

I was drinking Timothy Taylors on Saturday afternoon after the Bishop's Finger ran out. They did have some for a while & it was rather nice.
Not entirely Rabski's fault as me and Sam and a few others rocked-up around noon on Saturday and hammered the Bishop's Finger pretty hard - we were knocking on the door of double-figure pintage by 5pm...![]()
Any problems involved a very small minority of exhibitors (who were fabulously understanding - thank you) and as far as I know were almost unnoticed by visitors.
I think they affected the organisers far more than anyone else.
Beer - I will discuss this with SH as I made a point of asking them to ensure there was enough. I even suggested they could get a keg of real ale from a local brewery and bill us directly for it!

Let's ask Castle Rock from Nottingham to sponsor the event next year. I got them to provide 3 barrels for Mrs Uzinusa's birthday the other yr for a bash at the Boat Club in Nottingham and it was, as ever superb! Superb. Oh, and there were only 120 of us. That's a keg between 40 and not counting the 3 cases of wine etc etc etc and the odd, very odd driver :-)
By the time they got there, the Bishop had a severely depleted finger I'm afraid.
Next year I'll be exhibiting again, if all goes to plan, so in view of the kit (and especially the Well Tempered) I will be going a tad lighter in terms of consumption. Best cancel about three kegs.
