Ahhh but they sound fucking great and are built very well. My speakers 25 years old and are in mint condition and look nice with the covers on. Looks always come last with me is SQ first then build and then looks. A lot more went into the design then it looks. Very well matched drivers and cross overs that still to this day make them sound so good. The Snell C's are the best speakers I have had and I have had quite a lot from LV to B&W. They are in the top 5 that I have heard. If if do the show next year they will turn heads with the superb sounds they make.

Dartzeel. If given the choice between an old Naim unit and a new Dartzeel....I'd grab the Naim. That's not saying much.

I can normally find something to like about a turntable but this should been set fire to when it was still on the drawing board

While the cosmetics are eccentric in the extreme I could forgive them on the basis that I've yet to hear a Perreaux that didn't sound wonderful. Their current range is much easier on the eye.

Naim speakers don't even have the saving grace of sounding good; every pair I've heard have been diabolical shite.

Don't get me wrong - I have one of their 200P power amps, in the more sober pro shape. Sounds wonderful. But those bulbous chrome jobbies are just so wrong. And this thread is just about looks - they may well sound lovely but that design is just unforgivable!
