Everton were terrible in the 2nd half - Piennar being cup tied was a big blow to them.
If my life lasted only one day I'd still be drunk by noon.
I am shocked that Everton didn't set up to take more pot shots at Brad Jones.
I feel bad but not as much as the fans who went.
Could have been worse, if it had been penaltiesor even worse if it had been the final!

There should be something amusing or clever here...
A pity Drenthe was still not available, we lacked width and also pace - for my mind Everton's biggest problem is our one-speed play. We lack pace in all areas of the pitch, except maybe in central defense. We have lost 3 times this season to a poor Liverpool squad, which is a great shame. We are the Jimmy White of football - destined always to go far but always to choke at the final hurdle. Moyes will be off soon, and I don't blame him although there are many fans who won't be sorry to see him go. Maybe time to give someone like Slaven Bilic a go, I can't see any of the better Championship managers wanting the job and I'll cry if we get Steve Bruce or Alan Curbishley.
Anyway, a poor match between two cagey teams who both played well below themselves. Good luck to either Chelsea or Spurs in the final.

I've always been a big supporter of Moyes, but it does annoy me that he can never go gung-ho. He is still stuck with his success with a poor side that did well playing 4-5-1, Marcus Bent being the 1.
Stu you are a great forecaster of scores, but did you put your money where your mouth is ?
Fellaini has come on a great deal in the past couple of seasons now that he has the measure of the pace of the Premier League. What we really lack is a midfielder like Gerrard who can actually score and create as well as break up the opponents play. I don't think any of our starting midfield had a shot on target during the match except for a couple of poor efforts from Osman - a player I like but who is too lightweight for the really big games. A pity Gibson didn't take a few pot-shots early on to test Jones, who won't have much easier games despite an rubbish defense in front of him. That's Gibson's first defeat in an Everton shirt I believe - he'd better get used to it ready for next season.

Other than losing was the game good or was it all one way traffic?
Please Stu I'm trying to forget, but if you insist a great game till 1-0 then it went tits up.
Ask in the other thread and I'm sure the answer will be slightly different![]()
Just got in, really pissed off,it hurts,Neil and Barney have summed things up.
J.Martin, some of my best mates are " red shite" but we're all scousers together, I hope you noticed the immaculate minute's silence today, all is not lost for the city we're both so proud of.
I'll be at Old Trafford next week expecting to get beat and it won't hurt a bit.

Jon - as the comedian said it's the way you tell them. You posted as a Scouser - with humour, irony and respect. I've no problem with that.
The post that irked me came across without those qualities.
And yes it was good to see red and blue standing together in respectful silence. A great advert for football and for a city misunderstood by far too many "southerners" and of course the metropolitan elite who run this country.
Gutted about the result yesterday. A few cheered me up though . The Scouse end baner; The Liverpool owners did not attend because the Boston Red Sox had there first game of the season! On Sky Sports anyone seee the two so called reds interviewed one from Sweden the other from Norway - you couldnt make it up!!!!!! The Birth 1878 and the after birth banner - quality
So glad to be a blue!
