Thanks to those who attended my first bake-off yesterday. I very much enjoyed the sound of Graham's phono amp - could easily live with that in my system. Good to meet a new Wammer in Ritchie - thanks for bringing some kit along and for your enthusiasm for the music. I saw my wife sneak a couple of cheeky nips of rum so it wasn't all your own work Gareth. It was the Vermouth (yes really!) Black Pearl cable (£175) we listened to late on as I was a bit too pissed to work out the how the locking plugs worked on the Tellurium Q's. I thought my £30 Audio Friendly cable gave a good account of itself though. Hopefully I'm still on speaking terms with the neighbours after the "bass off".

Good company, good music and good food (thanks mum-in-law).

    Ian

Sounds like I missed the piss up,still I had my own last night, just about to start again, already one bottle of red's gone down nicely before more friends turn up for my birthday lunch hic!!!

If you want to really hear what the ARC can do you need to pop over my place and listen with the Koetsu SUT in situ, the SUT adds so much more, pity Ian's cartridge was MM as I would have brought it over.

Well as a casual drinker these days I've only just started to feel better and the bakeoff filters back into memory.... So thanks to Ian, Jenny and her Mum for a great time and food I cannot remember much really so I'll leave it there though it was great to me Ritchie and some other guys who's names escape me at present

    Dean..
