Group Buys

This sticky is for group buys of any DIY-related components, PCBs, cases, etc.

It's not for general chit-chat.

Bear in mind that group-buys can be slow to happen and a lot of work for the organiser - so be realistic.

I WILL NEED :-

The mouser catalogue number
Quantities
Payment for the items before the order is made (i am not a bank)
An postage address
Payment for postage which i will only send recorded for my peace of mind and yours it will cost atleast ~£1.30

I will also add that i will not be responsable for the wrong items being ordered i will confirm with you the items before i order and after i have checked on my end and you have recieved the items from your list my responsability ends there.

What about a group buy for some valve boxes? I feel sick when I see the prices they go for on fleabay. Anyone interested if so in first instance a PM I'd have thought.

Cardboard boxes in which to store valves, often with a diagonal insert to prevent the valve from rattling. Not trying toe clever but what else should I call them?
FWIW I enquired about box dividers for bulk storage of approx 72 valves before and was told 50 is the absolute minimum for one size.
IMO I'd need four or five sizes in either case.
Let me know if ths is of any interest. I have flipping hundreds of the things lying around in bubblewrap and paper. I'd love to organze them properly!

I know the guy who organises these ones http://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=80059. He imports from Germany and re-sells them at a very small margin. He does have minimum orders for each size. The most up to date details are in post #40 at the bottom of that thread I think.

If you're interested and you could arrange to pay him very quickly and you will be at Audiojumble next Sunday morning then I could collect your boxes from him on my way there (I'm dropping in on him for something else) and save you the postage.
