Neil cowley trio.......cbso...brum.

Friday the 13th,,,,,,,,,, sounds ominous, but no it was,nt....went to see n c trio at the superb sounding/ accoustically cbso venue just of broad st in brum

nigh on a full house, due to jazzlines promoters who are bringing forth music talent to the brum area ,which is thriving due to there input,

music played was of the highest order, neil on piano,just brill, held together by upright bass who was superb and the drummer was awesome he was physically

drained at the end, a lot of new stuff of there new album...the face of mount molehill.......a string quartet in situ ,,cello,viola two violins played superbly,

a different style from neil, but wow it works as seen and heard, hoots ,hollers and loud clapping from an appreciative audience , neil was pleased and treated

us to a superb rousing , energy sapping encore,,,,good vibes all round and wiith neil and band signing copies of cd..s...after nearly two hours....

drinks in pub before and after sealed of a good night..........any other wammers attend ??

Heard a few of their tracks on Jazz FM recently. Not seen them yet but have a ticket for their gig as part of the Glasgow Jazz Festival in June.

Seems to be making a name for himself after recording with the likes of Adele and Emeli Sande.
