Got a bottle of this stuff a few years ago and now do the 'scrub' once every 6 months or so. Worksespecially well on cartridge output pins.
At £15 it's expensive stuff for what it is. That's £1 a ml, or 1000 times more expensive than petrol...
Yeah mate, I bought a bottle about a year agoand was a bit sceptical. I did my whole system with itagain about a fortnight ago. I don't know if its all in my head but it does seem to make a difference. It does remove a load of muck as well!

Umm- is it isopropanol? Possibly with a dash of water and a drop of fairey liquid?
Be excellent to each other. And... PARTY ON, DUDES!
Isn't it the same as simply removing and replugging the connectors?

Even if it does improve the sound I wouldnt pay that much for that little bit of liquid.

Doesnt Deoxit leave a contact residue behind too? And you get that in a big can.

I couldn't hear any difference what so ever after doing it.
I've been using Deoxit and ProGold for many years now as a matter of fact everytime I add, remove or change around a piece of equipment or an interconnect. I remember what a difference it made when I first used it about six years ago. I'm still using the original stuff, so it appears to be quite economical.
I used strong Vodka to clean my Tape deck's play and record head. I clean my power plugs with Brasso and use Mr. Sheen for interconnects, speakers plugs....all of above cleaning agent can be find in every household.;)

I use Brasso for power plugs too. You can get a really nice shine on them. Once I even used a Dremel to polish the pins on all my power plugs. They were sparkling.
I remember seeing some place online selling silver plated power plugs, and they had a close up of the pins and you could see they hadnt even bothered to polish them properly before plating, they were all rough and pitted.

I think a dash of snake oil too...
RENT THIS SPACE from as little as 19.99 a month.
Highest standard, and the highest bullshit factor on the 'Wam.

Siberian tiger spunk I heard.
LOL, sceptics (or is that SEPTICS)
It does work, and may be expensive for 15ml, but it lasts for years, not like the cables you guys buy.....that is tigers tears that, no snake oil...
Besides, i had a swig last night, doubles up as strong meths too![]()

You must be the size of a knat's testicle if you managed a swig out of that thing. ;)
I use the Caig products (ProGold, Deoxit,etc.). Can't say I've heard a difference in sound, but polishing my connectors keeps me off the streets at least.
I also useelectrical contact grease available from auto parts suppliers to seal the connections. Cheap and cheerful as it's not an audiophool product
Methyl hydrate is a great tape head cleaner, stylus cleaner (applied with a fine artists brush),fondue fuel, and gasoline additive (to remove water from the fuel system).
I'm so sick of pornography. Every time I see it I shake my fist at it.
