Old Boy - should be obscure, most Korean films are - but I looked it up after Hoops used the Soundtrack at Scalford a couple of years ago, and it is a work of genius.

"I put up my thumb ... and my thumb blotted out Earth. I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small." Neil Armstrong, Hero.
Bubba Ho-Tep. Just for the synopsis if nothing else.
Inglorious Bastards (Original version)
Human Centipede (Prompted a lengthy discussion in work today)
Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus (So shit, it's brilliant)

I believe Mega Python vs Gatoroid was a Palme d'Or finalist at Cannes.
I'm so sick of pornography. Every time I see it I shake my fist at it.

Nothing obscure in following movies, my favorites and the best ever:
1 - Dancer in the Dark by Lars Von Trier with the colossal Bjork, from Ex-Sugarcubes;
2 - The Zaubberflute in swedish: Trollflojten with music from W.A.Mozart, and a film by Ingmar Bergman;
3 - Trainspotting from Danny Boyle;
4 - The Wall, with music by Pink Floyd, with Bob Geldoff, a Alan Parker film.
Four movies to buy and see now urgently...
Cheers

The Raid: Redemption
Eats, shoots and leaves...
'Diva' by Jean-Jacques Beneix, who also did 'Moon in the gutter'.
Diva is such a great film with scenes I still recall 30 years later. But then, I owned the same Traction Avant Citroen in 1983 as in the film!
Must watch again (it's on DVD)
One should be sparing with ones contempt because of the large number of those in need of it.
Chateaubriand
From the same stable, the surreal & macabre Delicatessen![]()
Dellamorte Dellamore (AKA Cemetary Man) - Italian zombie film with Rupert Everett
The Bird People in China - Takashi Miike film without casual violence and outrageous perversity (eg Audition)
Running on Karma:A monk turned body-builder, with the gift to see into people's lives, befriends a female cop, and uses his gift to change the force of Karma and her destiny.

Great feel good movie with John Savage that I think has only just been released to DVD and can't recall ever seeing on TV due to a distribution row. Theres a guy in it with no hands who is the only person ever to win two oscars for the same role.
