Thunder Twonk: the two legged twat monkey
Yeah but what mains leads is he using......
''Met my boss parking his car today - very nice new BMW convertible! Said ''nice car boss'' He said ''Yeah - thanks - just remember if you put in the hours and slog this year then next year I can get an even better one!!'''
Wish I was his metal merchant, think i could retire on the amount of copper used. Lovely work and an incredible breadth to his DIY talents.![]()

Simply stunning. What an awesome effort in every sense of the word. I love his reasoning for the project, basically that so called high end stuff didn;t do it for him, so he build his own. God alone knows what a commercial company would charge to sell an equivalent set up.
I see a man with unlimited time and significant funds who has committed a large chunk of his life to building a hifi system. Commendable and the end results are nothing short of stunning.
However, kids, marriage, profession, Life in general! Which parts of the former would I be prepared to sacrifice in order to achieve what he has?
Let me get this straight. You take a perfectly good CD and put it in a DVD player??!!
Agree with Henry on this - amazing project, and huge kudos to its creator, but also only open to a dedicated and wealthy few. Hifi in all its facets is ultimately an obsessive-compulsive disorder!
The only way this sort of thing is possible is to use the top of the range Black and Decker Workmate, the one with large foot rest. Soon enough it'll be mine, then it'll be game on, maybe.
Worst link ever![]()
Is that the same guy from the shigaclone thread on diyaudio?
CD player looks similar
iirc he works as an account manager - seems a normal sounding job title to me though this may actually be Netherlands speak for Emperor of the World and surrounding planets.
It's alright I spose....
