I guess im one of those weirdos that loves the ritual and "pampering" that comes with a properly executed straight razor shave. I have the whole 9 yards, nice buffalo horn straight razor, hone stone, strop strap, nice shaving soap, etc.

nothing like lathering up your face with the brush, taking a hot towel out of the towel warmer, putting it on your face, letting the shaving soap soak in, wiping it off, relathering and shaving,.... so good man. my favorite grooming ritual

Yes I concur, I returned to DE shaving a while back ,running with an circa 1961 Gillette 'Fat Boy' SR and either Feather or Bolzano blades .

ironically I use a crap razor, and the cheapest shaving foam (latest batch is some bic foam that I bought from pound land) - but I use decent shaving balm...current one is clinique

Blimey TR! You're making me want to take up shaving again! Completely counter intuitive... I would have had you down as a Gillette 6 blader. This is the grooming equiv' of Vinyl and valves! Are you feeling alright?

You guys have got me intrigued. Is Amazon about the best place to buy? Its about £20 for a razor and 5 blades. Might have to give it a go
