Don't bother shaving my back as it gets used as a doormat when we have visitors.

Feather Stainless DE blades, approx 18 for 100, 3x shaves per blade = 6p per shave with the sharpest blade you can get.
"Suitable outcomes for all - FME/proper not overpriced/underperforming e.g. Walmart-wotever Wallwart CAN be just spot-on so often, utilised correctly/unplugged after enjoyment."

    Bic disposables (triple blade).

... and once in a while I might treat myself to an ultra smooth cut-throat shave by a professional.

    Yep, that's what I use.
Along with Trumpers coconut shaving cream. It's changed a chore into a pleasure.

I guess im one of those weirdos that loves the ritual and "pampering" that comes with a properly executed straight razor shave. I have the whole 9 yards, nice buffalo horn straight razor, hone stone, strop strap, nice shaving soap, etc.

    this very one actually

and I LOVE the AOS sandlewood soap. been my preferred brand for a long long time now!

nothing like lathering up your face with the brush, taking a hot towel out of the towel warmer, putting it on your face, letting the shaving soap soak in, wiping it off, relathering and shaving,.... so good man. my favorite grooming ritual

Blimey TR! You're making me want to take up shaving again! Completely counter intuitive... I would have had you down as a Gillette 6 blader. This is the grooming equiv' of Vinyl and valves! Are you feeling alright?

You guys have got me intrigued. Is Amazon about the best place to buy? Its about 20 for a razor and 5 blades. Might have to give it a go

Any of the Gikllette/Wilkinson 3 bladed affairs that happen to be on sale at the time...I never buy refills as it's always cheaper to buy a new complete razor and spare blade. I use sandlewood brush applied shaving foam and a pot of that lasts at least 3 months.

I used to use a cut-throat - only ever cut myself once and that was whenI dropped it on my toe!
Swapped to a Braun electric about 10 years ago. It's still going - not bad for 40. Blades and foil every 18 months at 16...

Or shutting the door before you've opened it then realising you don't own a stable or a door but you would like a horse if you had your own field.
