received a message suggesting that we conduct the whole gallery idea on Flickr or Photobucket. Sort of like the show piccie idea, so that the ONLY post in the thread here will be a link to that site. There, wam snappers will have freedom to post and change etc. All thoughts welcomed!

Yes, the proposed new thread will be just one of your pics at a time, so when you have a new favorite you replace the old one.

I Like the idea, however I can't help feeling the thread will get clogged up with comments. Even if the first post contains in massive red letters "do not post comments" there are an amazingly high number of wammers with the inability to follow simple instructions.

Yes I agree, maybe that is why a Flickr account is being considered.
I also wonder if an image only tool can be implanted into the thread , if such a thing is possible

No it isn't. You just want it to be because you like the idea of making the accusation, and you think 'flounce' is an attractive word that gives your post some credibility.
It's no worries to me what you think either way. I do however, know what I think. Yes it was my idea. Yes, I had contacted the boss to get his ideas, and yes, he said great but hold on a moment. He posted it here for all to see.
Whilst waiting, I considered the idea and produced an idea for a title page which included the instructions I thought might be needed to stop the thread being de-railed. Rich storms in and pushes the red button. I am annoyed, because as was predictable, the thread he starts immediately gets derailed with comment posts, and anyway, I do think it's better to do something well, even if it takes time. Naturally I do think, yes, that I was doing it well.
Rich and I are friends btw. We can both be arses. He's said sorry and I've pm'd him ditto. AFAIK we are now waiting to see what the boss sais. If all is well, I. or ANO ill restart a new thread with a suitable title page/instructions soon.

And much as Rocky and I disagree at times, I think that comment is thoroughly out of order and completely unecessary.

I can be a bit too 'gung ho' at times, because I just like to get things done, but that wasn't the point and I have already stated I was wrong.

As Rocky has said, this is indeed not the place for an argument. I would respectfully suggest that not trying to start one would be a good idea.
