SUTs - anyone near stoke fancy a mini bake off

I am interested in a Kondo SUT but the price difference is so big from what I have I wondered if anyone near stoke has one and would be prepared to pop round (food and drink provided of course) may even turn it into a mini bake off to rope in a few extra pairs of ears - I would like to hear a Kondo SUT against my audio note S2 and Ortofon T-3000

I would really like to hear one in my system before spending a wad of cash - any local mafia members willing to help out?

    Cheers

pretty impressed with the T3000 tbh hence thinking I might not see much benefit in moving to AN S6, S7 level

I don't live near Stoke, BUT... if you do arrange a mini bake off, I would be keen to attend. I could bring a Tim De Paravicini SUT as an interesting comparison (preferably when, and if, Pete Brings his S9!)

Weekends may be my only opportunity, but wouldn't rule out anything!

Very much enjoying my Kondo AN-S6c at the moment but it's a long way from Stoke .... I think you'll find the difference between that and and AN-S2 won't be subtle in the least.

Having said that the S9 was gobsmackingly good. It's frankly astonishing to think a SUT can make that degree of difference.

tom - its not that far is it? I am looking to purchase an S7 so yours would be pretty much the same thing as I understand the heirachy - I have an ortofon T3000 in place at the moment which is already quite a step up from the S2 which I shall be selling after the bake off

Can't do that week as SWMBO has stuff organised but happy to lend it for the day if anyone is passing and heading up there.

The S6 has taps for 1, 3 and 40 ohm as well as adjustable loading, so extremely flexible

shame - you could have had a listen to the leben and air tight power amps through GRF 15inchers whilst you were here - very kind to offer the loan, will see if I can tempt someone from your neck of the woods into joining us
