Does anyone have any experience of running these with valves?
My only experience previously of valves was a AI700 with my JPW AP3s , and in my small room i never quite got over a few bass control issues. Swapped to the Arcam A85 I currently use and tamed it with the tone controls.
Now i use the B&Ws ( front ported ) and i don't need the tone controls .
The Arcam does all i need but it doesn't give me that Smile factor i got on the occasions the jpw/ai partnership worked in my small room.
So , i'm very happy with the cdm1s but part of me wonder what they'd be like with valves.

Adrian, I used B7W 683 with a Prima Luna Dialogue 2 for a few months and it worked very well. Probably the best sound I've heard from the B7W683 (outside of some serious money pre/power).
