falling skies 2nd season just started, im all over that too.

I cant get into madmen . subject matter holds no interest. don draper is someone id love to punch in the mouth.

Madmen is, objectively speaking, very good but I'm with you in simply not liking it. I actually didn't like Treme either.

Twin Peaks I never got started with and I think maybe it's just too involved, perhaps dated and certainly ambiguous to tempt me. The Killing, never heard of or if you told me about it I forgot to investigate it.

Carnivale - I love it ! But I'm still saving Series 2 for a better time when my AV rig is back up and I've totally cleared up the mess I live in. Really looking forward to that. I've seen the opening sequence though, at Trinity site , White Sands ( his dream ) - I stood there too, in 2009, right by the twisted leg remains of the tower.

Rubicon, Homeland Security and what was that other one in the genre, the quiet thing about an intel think tank ? I'll be watching all these in due course.

Hey, speaking of "finest ever" televisual things, here's a real contender to get hold of. It's amazingly absorbing.

HEIMAT - a German ( English subtitles ), three series chronicle of the life of an extended family in the Rhineland, Germany. 1919- recent times. It's fucking amazing ! But beware of which copy you get. I noticed a bad review of the American release on Facets Video on grounds of terrible transfer quality. Perhaps get from Europe, e.g. UK Amazon or perhaps the triple pack of the whole thing from .de German Amazon, but in the latter case email to ask if it has English subtitles ( the UK release individual series do obviously )
