I have today finished putting my Lenco 88 deck together.
It's sounding rather good already. I'm going to be tweaking it and trying different cartridges over the next few weeks, will let you know how I get on![]()

which Jelco is that? 10"?
I had one of these for a bit and I have to say it gave nothing away at all to my Garrard 401.

Listening to my 99 now. Great decks indeed.
Looks good, have you done any service work on the '88?
Does it have the original bearing?
Everything is original except for the idler wheel which has been changed for a NOS 5 hole metal version. At some point I will pull out the motor for an overhaul and likewise the main bearing. At the moment I am enjoying listening to it too much :-)

Jelco SA750E? Looks a great set up James.
looks like an OEM Jelco, LAD SA-370H tonearm to me. The Jelco 370 is a very close relative to the Sumiko MMT so is a nice arm. I have two NOS 370H rewired by Audio Origami on my twin-armed Goldring 88. I've noticed recently the prices of the 88/99 models are rapidly on the rise recently too. Deserved because they are really excellent idlers. I love mine :-)

That's lovely Geoff. I'm looking at slate as a mass loading base for the deck to stand on. Hopefully have something sorted this month.

Cheers James. I always loved this deck. The new arm really shows what it can do. Slate plinth and new bearing have been on for about four years.
Thank you Kevin, it's a great deck, one of five all similarly aged!
Nice. Should have bought/enjoyed back then.
