After reading the thread on FOPP going / gone bust... it got me thinking of my latest CD I bought. I realise there is a thread for what people are currently listening to, but forgive me if it has already been done, but how about a thread recommending sources of CDs and Vinyl other than ebay. Here in Geordieland, there are the usual High street outlets, Virgin - HMV - WHSmith etc. However I would not recommend them per se, as some of their normal prices are a joke. There are Internet sites also like Amazon, Play.com, which usually come up on general Internet searches. What I am also suggesting with this thread is when people come across some bargains, to let other wammers know so that the opportunity can be taken advantage of.
For example yesterday I bought Icky Thump by White Stripes from Morrisons for £7. IMO thats cheap and worth it. I got Police boxed set in HMV Edinburgh for £14 recently, when I went into my local HMV to get another for my son, I found the one in Edinburgh had been wrongly priced and it should have been £40!.
I often look in Woolworth's as they often have some cracking bargains, from as little as a £1.
