Tannoy st200 and speaker earthing

Hi all,

having recently picked up some Turnberry SE's I was was wondering about the ST200's and what they bring to the party - are they worth the £1,150 they go for?

secondly, the speakers have an earthing point - i have tried earthing speakers in the past and found some benefits but it was a long time ago - any benefits in earthing em?

and if so I assume the grnd on my pre will be fine - from memeory its what i did before but that was literally years ago.

You should get in touch with Tannoy for detailed information! I presume you dont have the instruction booklet.

yes, embarrassingly i do have it - says attach to the earth on the amp so assuming ground on the pre will do

I've tried with and without the ground wire (connected to mains earth) and can tell no difference.
