Actually, playing the video through my liddle M&Ds pretty much proves they sounded good - making allowances for the shit mic in the camera...if you catch my drift.
I do wonder what they'd do with dub step, though![]()

Thanks Justin, nice vid, I've sent the link to Manolis @ Tune Audio, he'll like that.
I'm not one for classical but I'm working through my genres today and Mozart has never sounded so good, I'm really enjoying it for the 1st time, I may have to extend my classical selection. Is Bigdur becoming cultured in his old age?![]()
Is this a 2 way system Jack? ie with the Fostex(?) driver covering all bar the HF? Or is there another larger bass driver involved somewhere?
Got to say Jack That these look to be brilliant,
More than domestically acceptable& look to be eminently practical in the context of average UK living rooms.....sadly the cost is way oot of my league...barring a windfall, just as well I seem to be in a happy place wiv regards to my current rig & other than possibly an SME 309 don't have any persistent itches at the mo (roll on any anusol comments recco's
)
The antimode dual core may b of some interest to me at some point in the future as it definitely intrigues me& another Wammer who I'm friendly with has recently bought one from you. I've recently done some measurements using a decent mike, my nanoface & the R.E.W. measurement suite & it seems that for the most part the in room measurements I've taken indicate my rig/speakers are pretty well set up & not massively compromised. I've recently added the mk2 crossovers & fine tuned the positioning & the gains have been more than subtle....I also have a large range of adjustments I can make to my speakers on the fly
...so my current thinking is that I prolly need to do a fair bit of tinkering a lot more measuring & maybe investigate some of the more tasteful room treatment options prior to serious consideration of active room correction
...I will definitely continue to follow the antimode thread & may look at the room treatment options from Paul at R.F.C. or even look at making some up myself as I'm a dab hand at knocking up frames etc. myself.

My take on it iircfrom looking at the specs a week or so back on B.D.'s site was that its a two way...I only saw clear mention of two drivers & that the single
8inch driver was also horn loaded through the base of the cabinet for bass duties & that upper frequencies were care of a compression driver
through the horn at the top of the cabinet & that the horn could be adjusted for correct beaming at the listening position. I'm more than happy to be corrected on any of these points tho' as I'm really not sure

It's a 2-way, crossed over at 2.5kHz. It doesn't say on the website what the topology of the horn is - it looks to me to be more of a quarter wave thing than a true back-loaded horn. How does it look from underneath? Is it pretty much empty inside, which would agree with this, or is there lots of woodwork inside, as you might get on a BLH?
Fuck the horns, I just listen to the Snells now.
Yes it's a 2 way, an 8'' radiating mids, rear horn loaded and downward firing bass driver. Highs are from a 1'' compression driver in a Tractrix horn.

It's a back loaded horn Adam.
Cool.
I also see that the US importer sells them for $17k. Since you've had to include VAT in your price, I say well done![]()

France were the largest market for Tune Audio last year Stu, there are a few bits and bobs regarding Marvel on French hifi forums.
Mainland Europe are much keener on horns than the UK at the moment, I believe due to too many badly implemented designs being demonstrated at shows and compromised designs being offered over here.
I am confident I can swing this opinion and show people what a well thought out design can do.
You doing Whittlebury this year?
