for past 9 months we have had an outbreak of mozzies here in uk in our house which has brought a great deal of misery !!! and being woken up at nights at around 5.30, we are all now experts at finding them although at 4am its a real pain !!
we now run mosquito killers in bedrooms [deet] and have filled in the pond which was probably the main cause !!!

Yep, the man is right - 'skeeters home in on CO2 from your breath, and body heat.

The idea that one person gets bitten in favour of another is also wrong - everyone gets bitten, some simply don't have the histamine-release reaction, so don't itch/swell-up.

My brother in law (who also gets eaten alive like me) just got back from the family cabin with a glowing thumbs up for necking anti histamine pills. I don't know a lot about anti-histimine pills other than my mum takes them.

And a tip about Sicilian mossies DEET usually works but back up with Citronella candles and Spirali under the table> In bed well you could try HP but a bit messy!!!!
