Hi all,

I always wonder will there be any problem about the LV woofer unit with foam material which will not last long ( may be 7-10 years due to foam material is chemically unstable and becomes dry and brittle over time ) compare with rubber edge like others woofer unit?

Polyurethane foam technology has come a long way since the 1960s/1970s. I expect modern compounds will be properly stabilised and will last as long as a rubber surround.
