I can only find the text that says "Buyers Premium of 15.5% plus VAT is payable on the bid price"

How did you work out 38.5% extra?

Okay, found it under a separate subsection.

The total vat + premium works out at 38.5% extra.

It may still be well worth taking a plunge.

First they add the 15.5% buyers premium then the full total is subject to 20% VAT on top of that which is what they are calculating will be added
eg winning bid £40 plus buyers premium £46.20 plus VAT £55.44 which is what will be paid .

Some LS3/5a speaerks , Keith Monk LS1.8 Monitors , Technics SL1210 TT , EMC TT and other items in the list but you would need to get them pretty cheap as they do not make any statement about the condition or even if they work. Lots of multiples of the same thing Rogers LS5/9 Monitors (I think most of them had amplifiers (H/H units built in) .
Having to collect from them is a bit of a bind but might be worth it for the right prices . Quite a few Reel to Reel units but the Studer ones are already pretty high on current bids some of the Revox look okay but you have no idea what condition the heads are in.
System - Theta Data Basic II Transport - Squeezebox Touch Toolbox 3.0 Dynobot Mods - Antimode 2.0 Digital Room Equaliser - Concordant Exhilliarant Pre - Krell KSA 50 Amp - Harbeth Compact Monitors II

    That's a bugger.
Agreed - it's difficult to judge what condition you are getting the stuff in...
This is a relatively high profile auction - so prices likely to go higher that is worth taking the risk for

Well registered yesterday and they have confirmed it today . So it looks like that they are pretty quick at letting you at least have a go. Will probably have a look near the end and if there is a lot that is going very cheap then may make a bid otherwise it is going to be just for those that are in the Trade or close to the site .

Does anyone know anything about the Keith Monks Monitors ? Not something I have ever heard about nor heard in real life either .

Is there no way one might bid and get an agency to send the goods. Is this an opportunity open only to effete southerners then who can nip down the street and pick them up?

Chris - if you have something really in mind I am sure you could ask on here a a friendly wammer would collect it for you then just organise a courier collection from them . Problem about getting a collection done directly from the auction is that nothing is packed and suspect they will not offer any sort of help . Failing that then a day out in the great metrollops is not the worst thing you can suffer.
Perhaps if a few further afield bid and win we could organise a single collector who could do a drop off on their way back home .

Many thanks Bencat. It it were for me I would go ahead as you say but it´s really for a Spanish mate from Barcelona who fancies some LS3/5as. In other words it might get a bit complicated. Now if an enterprising soul were willing to do the honours for a small carrying fee and act as a middle man ( not for payment of course) then it might just get sorted.
