Just wondering would it be worthwhile replacing the resistors while I’m at it? I’m thinking there’s better ones available nowadays.

I’ve been looking into replacing capacitors on an old pair of Sansui SP 2500x speakers from the 70,s. I acquired them from a regular customer that I used to do work for & now they’ve since emigrated. They’ve been in storage a good few years but now with a bit more time on my hands I thought it’s something I can now take a look at . I’ve had them connected at home and they working fine but it would be nice to get the caps replaced.Hoping to get them tidied up & use them in a separate room as a retro system set up eventually. Not sure where’s the best to purchase from ? I’ve had a scout around on the net but I’m finding it difficult to obtain caps with the corresponding measurements to the originals. Any help or advice out there would be appreciated (see pics) thanks. thanks for the links, advice & information ,I’ve placed an order today with Crickelwoodelectronics. Tim

  5. Have you tried their Plum Porter grand reserve 6.5% I think only in bottles last time I was in The Royal Exchange in ,Stone, Staffs
  6. There’s a variety of different ales brewed locally from Titanic Brewery in Burslem Stoke-on-Trent and they’re currently doing an offer ‘Pub in a Box’ if anyone lives in Stoke-on-Trent . collection from one of their local pubs. (favourites of mine would be the Iceberg or Steerage and their White Star👍)
  7. Hoegaarden🍺👍
  8. A favourite of mine currently in Aldi £1.19. Hobgoblin Gold bit of a bargain 👍🍺
  9. Not had the Tullamore D.E.W but at that price maybe it’s worth trying. Had the Bushmills & Blackbush both pleasant easy drinking Whiskeys offering great value, maybe I’ll give it a go , nice one👍🥃
  10. I suppose a nice glass always adds to your drinking experience?? I have a few different ones ,I’ve also used the small tasting glasses they’re great if you have friends over and you’re comparing . whatever floats your boat really 🤘🥃
  11. The Ardbeg 10yr is regularly on offer in Tesco stores for £37 Or Amazon reduced £10 from £47. I doubt many people buy at that price but at £37 it’s definitely worth trying 🥃 Another good one to try is the Laphroaig quarter cask👍
  12. Yes ,Ardbeg definitely one of my favourites particularly the Uigeadail if you can stretch your budget a bit i,m currently enjoying a bottle of Glen Scotia Victoriana that I first came across at a Whisky tasting night ,really good but again on the expensive side.
  13. So sad to lose one of the best musicians I’ve ever seen One of the first bands that first got me listening to music First saw Rush at Bingley Hall Stafford in 1979 then again in 81 as we’ll as the gigs that followed but the first as a teenager was always the most memorable r.i.p (The Professor ) Neil Peart
  14. Is the rack still for sale? a friend of mine is on the lookout for one
