  1. Anything specific, I've got loads of 50p pieces in a tin somewhere I can have a look through if you like?
  2. That looks dodgy as hell, there's actually no property where the pin is on the map either.
  3. Well the director of operations for the national grid has a slightly different view on the grids capacity to cope with EV demand. The main worry for the national grid is moving toward electric home heating as this will mean a massive increase in demand.
  4. Replacing the leaking power steering fluid sensor, took all of 5 minutes. Replacing the rusted away earthing connection for the rear light clusters, all the lights were flashing away like a disco when I pressed the brake pedal . Do all the servicing of my lawnmowers and power tools myself, replaced the drive shaft in my Stihl hedge cutter recently which saved me a few pounds.
  5. 4/5 season whereabouts? Scottish winter in the Cairngorms is very different to, say, Dartmoor. Best advice I've been given about winter camping was to stick a closed cell foam mat (really cheap) under my air mat to give an extra layer of insulation. Made a big difference (much bigger than I'd expected).
  6. She's not headlining, it's the legends spot (Kylie this year I think?), and they've sold out in a couple of hours as usual without any lineup announcement. Since then there's only 7 acts confirmed so far so pretty hard to judge based on that.
  7. Pretty sure our current system of FPP rather than proportional representation means the concept of majority rule is breached every election.

    Is HiFI Dead?

Add in the fact very few younger people have any sort of assured tenancy and the idea of having to move and set up your system in a different sized space every 6 months to a year becomes very unattractive.
  9. Somebody's clearly never heard of venture capital.
  10. Salad leaves need picking regularly to keep the plants going so best have these as close to the house as possible (ie not down an allotment). Other than that trial and error, see what works for you and your garden. Oh and pray we don't get weather like this or the slugs appear as if by magic and try and devour everything. Of course if you do get hot and dry weather the flea leaf beetles and cabbage white caterpillars will try and devour all your brassicas anyway, I usually net mine for this reason.

Just seen that there's a reissue of Captain Ganja and the Space Patrol by Tradition. Hooray, I've always wanted a copy but could never bring myself to shell out the £250-300 an original goes for. Spacey Dub/jazz album from the very early 80s.
  12. Green hairstreak butterfly (not as good as the above couple but not bad with my phone)
  13. Marmalade ice-cream in the rain
