  1. Bump following Bank Holiday weekend. Really fantastic stand mounts, mint, and I don't believe you'll get any better for the price. For what it's worth, I previously had B&W 805 Signatures and also auditioned Dynaudio Special 25s and Sonus Faber Cremonas before I bought these. The only ones that came close (to my ears) were the Special 25s but they were too "boomy" in my living room, needed more space to breath. The C1s are positioned 0.5m from back wall, bungs removed, and the sound is wonderful.....
  2. Reasonable offers considered. Regards, Mike.
  3. A gentle bump for Easter. Speakers boxed up and ready to ship.....
  4. I've updated the advert to reflect that I've managed to empty the stands of Atabites/lead as I suspect some folks won't like the idea of lead in the house. It also means they are now shippable. Please see original post for full details. Thanks, Mike.
  5. Sold subject to payment/collection. My beloved Dynaudio Confidence C1s in maple are back up for sale, with matching Dynaudio stands (Stand 2) in silver. This time no turning back as I already have their replacements.... £2,300 with or without the stands Speakers in mint condition, with original packaging. Stands also in excellent condition, I'd say 9/10, no scratches or blemishes at all. Smoke free, pet free home, speakers and stands have been looked after with loving care. I've decided to upgrade to latest Platinum model so that shows how highly I rate them. Reviews are universally glowing, here are some examples: http://www.stereophile.com/standloudspeakers/1107dyn/index.html#ouSOfwHv4OyXLU8J.97 http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/dynaudio_confidence_c1.htm https://www.whathifi.com/dynaudio/confidence-c1/review http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue29/dynaudio_c1.htm Cash (or bank transfer) on collection is strongly preferred but I'm happy to ship at buyers expense.I'm also happy to meet halfway up to a reasonable distance. I will accept Paypal if the buyer pays the fees and I'm shipping to the Paypal address. I live in Malvern, Worcs. Photos added below - FYI, the difference in shades between some of the photos is simply down to when the flash went off. The shade of the wood is consistent across both speakers and from front to back. Please also note that the Finite Elemente Cerapucs and granite plinths under the speaker stands are not part of the sale. I'll be putting the original spikes back on the stands. Many thanks, Mike.
  6. I realise this is nearly 3 years after the original post but I can also attest to the fact that Zoran of Hermes NL is incredibly helpful and responsive. I've just bought a pre owned Karan KAS600 from him and the service and support has been outstanding. On installing the amp, it exposed a DC offset problem (hum) with my mains (please don't ask me to try and explain I just know the term!) and Zoran sent me the components to create a simple mains filter, free of charge, with detailed photos and instructions, which has totally resolved the problem. And I'm extremely happy with my purchase - reckon this is the last amp I'll ever own....! So if you're interested in looking at a Karan amps, I highly recommend Hermes and Zoran. Cheers, Mike.
  7. Thanks, useful feedback. It seems to be another one even of hose subjects that divides opinion....regards, Mike.
  8. Hi, looking at another option for now, so not looking for Rothwells at the moment. Thanks, Mike. Hi, I've got a bit too much gain in my new amp and the built in attentuator on my PSAudio DAC (-20db) is slightly too much. Result is some hiss/white noice from my speakers between tracks, or I set DAC attenuator to on and have to wind the DAC volume up to max. I can't afford a preamp so I'm looking to try a pair of -10db Rothwell XLR attenuators to see if they do the trick without harming the SQ. If anyone has tried these attenuators and has an opinion on their effectiveness (or not), I'd be very interested? Thanks, Mike.
  9. Bumping as I've amended the advert. Thanks, Mike.
  10. Was previously looking for swap against Finite Elemente Cerapucs but that's no longer the case. Thanks, Mike.
