  1. Withdrawn.....awaiting collection
  2. Hi You’re welcome, but they are for collection only. Im in Essex Let me know
  3. I have a few dozen 12” singles if anyone wants to collect Im in London/Essex borders its 80’s soul/disco stuff
  4. Yes this is what I’m gonna do now after listening to your good self and one or two others and it will be playing easy listen stuff I’m not a real rock n’ rolla so looking forward to it. Thanks
  5. That’s very unkind........
  6. The amp & speakers have been ordered and paid for, just don’t want to damage them.. Was thinking about changing before they get here after all the negative comments regarding clipping and overloading etc. Maybe they’ll be great, I will give it a go.
  7. Thanks for the replies this looks like a bit of a mind field, if you were in my shoes would you consider changing the speakers and if so is there anything that springs to mind. I went with the spendor A4’s because I was looking for a relatively small floorstander and the dealer recommendation, they sounded pretty good in the shop but now this is slightly concerning
  8. Cheers this room is 7x7m sq roughly they won’t be played overly loud buts it’s nice to know you’ve got it if you wanna crank it up a bit. I will be listening no more than about 50/60% volume top whack similar to another system I have in the house
  9. Thanks for the replys its funny how one dealer tell you one thing........... I listened to them both together in the shop with decent enough volume and you would think the dealer wouldn’t want to blow up his own amp so that’s kind of a good sign. Not so long ago I asked another shop weather 87db would be ok and they said 90+ because if the amp tried too hard it would cause out of warranty damage But from what I’ve read these low powered amp are partnered a lot by 86/87db speaker such as harbeth spendor etc.
  10. Good evening how important is speaker sensitivity with matching amps i have incoming 12w unison research valve amp and spendor A4 speaker(87db) On the amp I have been told to only get speakers with 90+ sensitivity(too late) or they could overload and damage the valves and circuitry of the amp with long term use. Looking around at high sensitivity speakers we’re not actually spoilt for choice. The place I bought the equipment recommended the A4’s with this amp and seems a genuine guy so any advice or thoughts will be appreciated

Thanks everyone for the input, the tele is on more than it should be tbh News sky sports news amongst the repetitive drivel so the sound quality isnt that important to me has mentioned in some previous posts but the NAD amp ain’t a bad piece of equipment so will be pretty good to listen to through the TV Nice to know about dummy loads that I wasn’t aware of and also I didnt realise about the uncompressed setting in the Sonos menu, I’ve been streaming tidal does this still apply. im still about 50/50 whether to go with one or two amps, I’ve got enough room in the rack so it’s not a question of space for an extra box. New gear not here for a couple of weeks so time to think! Thank you all

It’s an old pioneer plasma(remember them) It’ll be a shame to let it go, and yes I’ve always had an ss amp and speakers to get sound. Never used the amp & speakers for music, but I’m making this into a second system

Thanks Fourlegs Maybe I’ll heed your advice and I’m just driving myself mad, where do I get my hands on a valve tester.? How about an external DAC as an improvement on the one in the Sonos
