  1. Thanks for that link, it seems the jury is out on coming up with a definitive answer, though I will in future use a greater dilution.
  2. That's interesting, years ago I was advised to mix one part of alcohol to two parts of water plus the wetting agent. Do you think my stronger mixture could damage the vinyl?
  3. Hello, I posted this on the WAM Nottingham Analogue Forum without any replies, so I thought i would throw it open to all. Any Thoughts? Posted 17 hours ago I've been amusing myself during the Covid lockdown cleaning LP's I bought years ago but have never listened to, what fun, I have to say I've only listened to a few CD's in three months. So I'm toying with the idea of throwing some money at my Ace Spacedeck, the first thing that comes to mind is a Wave Mechanic Power Supply or maybe the Heavy Kit. If only buying the one, the Power Supply would make more sense. If I was to buy both I might be better saving a little more and buy a Hyperspace instead, though I can't afford that at the moment. Any thoughts? Colin.
  4. I listened to these on catch-up after reading your post, thanks for the nod, they were well worth listening too.

  6. My Puresound 2A3 has never sounded better than with these speakers.
  7. No Slightly Athletic, I've never owned LV speakers. I have heard them in dealers and at shows, liked them but never enough to buy. Many years ago, mid 80's, I had a pair of Snell J11's with an Audio Innovations amp which was a lovely combination, then moved into a much larger house and bought some Martin Logan SL3's and a monster Musical Fidelity amp, they gave me a lot of pleasure. I've since moved into a smaller house and returned to valves and am truly amazed at how well the Heco's work in a relatively small room, I have them 15inches from the wall. Prior to buying them I read some glowing reviews of them, then went to Whittlebury where I heard two pairs playing and decided I must try them in my own home, it was love at first hearing, I urge you to have a listen to a pair.
  8. Have a look at the Heco Direkt, should be within your budget. I bought a pair last year and am really pleased with them, my room is slightly smaller than yours ( 13 x 11 ), so no problem there. I had them on an extended audition as I was not sure they would work in my room, I couldn't be happier.
  9. Yes, he is still up and running, he did something for me a few weeks ago.
  10. What cartridges have you tried the arm with? Any preferences?
