  1. Got a new mirrorless camera winging its way to me and as such have my old Dslr for sale. Preferably someone will be looking for a well looked after starter kit. Sale kit comprises of the following Nikon D200 DSLR Black, in good condition, never been dropped etc. In its day was a very good camera body, semi-pro / advanced user. Strap, body cap charger and 3 batteries original User manual Nikon 18-200mm f3.5 - 5.6 VR both caps, think I have the box but can't be certain. There's a very small crack in the aperture number window, otherwise in excellent condition. Tokina 11-16mm AT-X PRO VR ii UWA lens, 4yrs old. Immaculate, box and both caps (I think) and lens hood. Nikon f1.8 50mm prime ( 35mm format) so completely manual when fitted to camera, quite well used but still working. Small flash unit, unsure of its guide no but very light and makes a better job than the one on the camera. Maybe a few filters if they don't fit my new lenses, but need to find out their diameter. Everything will be boxed for properly for delivery. I e been offered £400 by my local camera shop as PX and I have a week to decide, actually only 3 days as I'm off on holiday next week. Based in Doncaster ànd the lot is available for collection or delivery at £450 plus shipping. If no takers by friday I'll sell as PX. If anyone wants better images pm me and I'll email some back Thanks Stewart Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk
  2. Just checked the specs for the AT VM95EN or possibly the ML variant weight is around 9gm so would be suitable it also has a compliance in the same ballpark as the OC9 Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk
  3. I've sent and smashed up my AT OC9 MC Cartridge last weekend and now I've stopped crying Ned to find a replacement. Will probably go back down the MM route but this deck has a proprietary arm with a DRA decoupling system. It looks very light but tbh my question is does anyone know what it's actual weight is? Being from the late 70s/early 80s I imaging Im going to need a high compliance cartridge but am unsure. To be fair the AT OC9 seemed to play very well on it so I guess something of similar Cu would be good. TIA people Stewart Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk

  14. Well my Pro-ject 2xperience nearly went on the floor this morning after snappin another cartridge tag. Damn fixed headshells are nothing less than the devil's spawn. This one's going on fleabay next week and going back to the SME type. Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk
  15. Grattan's, Freeman's Littlewoods my mum had them all. There were certain sections a pubescent boy in the 70s would always zoom into first, then the new bikes and what hifi they were selling that season. Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk

  17. I have both SACD and vinyl and I always buy more records than CDs because I love the interaction with a turntable. If I was you I would be looking for something like a semi automatic Technics, Pioneer or JVC, they are generally reliable and more easier to get on with than a manual one. Get one with a removable headshell which makes it easier to to replace the cartridge. If you get the bug it's a great hobby and doesn't have to cost a lot of money. I have 5-6 cartridges which I like swapping out every month which again gives you a new sound. Don't believe the hype, setting up a run of the mill turntable isn't rocket science and within a couple of hours you will understand the basics. Enjoy Stewart Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk
  18. I'm using music CD-Rs which I know work as I have used them previously and at first I thought it was because I was using a universal player so I swapped the toslink out to my old Sony CDP and came up with the same error which effectively means I'm using an incompatible source!!! ??? All I can think is that it's possibly the cable, I'll have a rummage around and see if I can find another one. Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk
  19. I love my Celestion speakers, and the two TT's are too shabby either. I am looking to replace everything for something different over the coming year as its the only was to experiment and move out of your comfort zone. I think over the last 4 years I have bought / sold quite a bit of vintage kit and ususally make a little on each component. I calculate that all this kit owes me around ££750 which isnt bad. cheers stewart
  20. Yes I've done that already, the question is more to do with specifically needing an amp between the CDp & CDr to record via Toslink, reading the setup it appears you dont but it wont let me record as it comes up with an error message. Maybe my toslink is knackered
  21. How this stack up Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk
  22. Finally got some time to play with my Pioneer PDR 609, and want to record some tracks from CD, my silly question do you need to connect the source and recorder via an amp, if there is a digital connection (Toslink) cable running between them, obviously when i'm digitizing my vinyl then it goes through the amp via phono leads. Thanks Stewart
  23. Yes have finally got around to checking the unit over and it's good, so can this please be deleted / closed as appropriate. Many thanks Sent from my moto g pro using Tapatalk
